The
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design prepares students
for a variety of careers related to visual communication.
Focus is placed on a strong foundation in art and design
with technical instruction in industry-standard hardware
and software. Career opportunities will be enhanced by
a required internship, allowing students to develop professional
practices, while establishing business relationships.
A
major in Graphic Design consists of 51 hours. Students
must fulfill 45 credit hours of required courses within
the Graphic Design major and 6 additional hours from
the list of approved courses below. Graphic Design majors
are not required to have a minor. Transfer credit for
this major is subject to the review and approval of the
LVA department.
Liberal
Arts Core: Mathematics 105 or higher satisfies the liberal
arts core requirement in Mathematics for this major.
Graphic Design majors are required to take Art 202 as
part of their liberal arts core requirements. See other
