Academic
Quality
Students
graduating from the CSU School of Business are well prepared
for success. We measure and document our students' performance
on exams which are used for assessment. Each semester our graduating
seniors take the ETS Major Field Test in Business in the capstone
course. This test, which is used at more than 600 colleges
and universities globally to measure student academic achievement
and growth, consists of examinations in disciplines such as
accounting, economics, management, finance, marketing, legal
and social environment, international business, and quantitative
business analysis. Our students consistently perform well on
this exam.
Research
shows that people skills are twice as important as technical
skills in explaining job performance and in predicting career
success. At CSU we believe this and concentrate on helping
our students assess and develop people skills in addition
to technical skills. Our students consistently score well
above that national average on the BarOn-Eqi instrument used
to assess emotional intelligence and soft skills.
