School of Business

The School of Business at Charleston Southern University is redefining business education. Our curriculum is designed to produce creative thinkers with strong communication and interpersonal skills by combining state-of-the-art business courses with a broad-based liberal arts education. The School of Business is committed to preparing students to be responsible and successful business leaders who reflect the University's dedication to academic excellence and Christian principles. We promote the University's five life preparation concepts through our programs and activities: values and ethics, communication, leadership, service, and wellness. By understanding and applying these concepts, students become equipped for future leadership roles. Faculty members in the School of Business model these five concepts in their daily lives and integrate these concepts into their teaching.

Charleston Southern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Charleston Southern University has received specialized accreditation for its business and business-related programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), Olathe, Kansas.

The following degree programs are accredited by the IACBE:

· The Bachelor of Science in Business
· The Bachelor of Arts in Business
· The Bachelor of Science in Economics
· The Master of Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business degree requires an emphasis to be chosen from Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Management, or Marketing. The Bachelor of Arts degree requires an emphasis to be chosen from Management or Marketing. Minors in Business Administration and Economics are also available.
