Charleston Southern University Scholarships

Adams & Associates International MK II Funded Scholarships

Sponsored by Adams & Associate and the Arthur J. Gallagher Foundation, this scholarship is for eligible CSU students and selected non-CSU students attending other accredited Christian colleges and universities.  The applicant must be enrolled full-time and be the legal dependent of a missionary family associated with a member organization of The Mission Exchange or CrossGlobal Link.


AES Scholarship

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. To be eligible, the student needs to answer one of the essay question. We are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.  Amount of award: $500.  Deadline is early October of every year.


AT&T $1,000 Scholarship

There used to be only two ways to watch TV: you either had a cable subscription or you had rabbit ears. Today there are numerous ways to watch TV, from a traditional cable TV package to web-based services like Hulu and Netflix. In fact, there are now many people who only watch TV on the Internet. William C. Horldt Scholarship

The Charleston Baptist Association Woman's Missionary Union offers the William C. Horldt shcolarship in the amount of $2,000 ($1,000) to a worthy student attending Charleston Southern University.



Baptist Foundation of South Carolina Trustee Scholarship

Christian vocation majors only. Information on where to send the application as well as requirements/guidelines for this scholarship opportunity are printed on the actual application. Deadline is April 30 of each year.


CampusRN Scholarship Program Campus RN

CampusRN has launched a new scholarship program in conjunction with the creation of the CampusRN state edition network. This nationwide scholarship program is the most comprehensive of its kind for nursing programs and nursing students because it features scholarship winners from six different regions across the country in which CampusRN has launched state edition sites.

CampusRN will award six $2500 scholarships to a needy and deserving nursing student in each region. Deadlines for 2014/2015 year will be posted once announced.


The CG Fuller Foundation Scholarship

Applicants for this scholarship must be a resident of S.C. , an incoming freshman, demonstrate financial need, academic achievement & leadership qualities. Applicant must score at least an 1100 on SAT (reading and math) or 24 on ACT (composite). The family's adjusted gross income must be $60,000 or less.  Deadline to submit the application is April 1st of each year.


Christian Vocational Scholarship (CRVS Scholarship)

This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled full-time in a South Carolina college/university and who are committed to a church related vocation. The student must agree to participate in a ministry-related practical experience approximately 2-6 hours per week under a designated supervisor. The applicant must be classified as a full-time student and have above a 2.0 GPA.

The applicant will be expected to attend a personal interview session held during April in one of three different geographical areas of the state.  Deadline date is March.

Employer Scholarship Program

Many companies have scholarship programs for their employees and/or their dependents. Students and parents should check with the personnel office of their company to see if such benefits are available.

Exchange Club Scholarship

The Exchange Club of Charleston offers a community-based scholarship every year to students who have at least a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate need, live in the tri-county area, have completed their freshman year of college and have a recent history of involvement in community service. Gavalas Kolanko Foundation

The Gavalas Kolanko Foundation (GKF) is proud to award scholarships to students with physical impairments (sight, hearing, movement) at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern University . The scholarship can be renewed for up to a total of four years. A full application is required the first application year. Each of the following years a current transcript is required by the application deadline. The scholarship is not automatically renewed each year, a transcript must be provided for the board to review.  Deadline is July.

Goedeker's College Book Scholarship

Jane Edna Hunter Scholarship

The Jane Edna Hunter Scholarship was established to provide need based financial assistance for full time undergraduate women under the age of 30, who are residents of Ohio or South Carolina.  The Scholarship committee will not consider applications not completed in their entirety and/or received after the deadline. Alice Hutto Memorial Scholarship

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Department of South Carolina is providing a $1,000 scholarship to a nursing student attending and accredited university.  To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA and have completed first their first semester of nursing.  Deadline for this scholarship is April 15, 2015.


Joye Scholarship Program

The Joye Law Firm is offering six $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning for the upcoming semester. Deadline date is mid-April of each year.


Military Education Scholarships

Applicants must be one of the following:

  • Current and prospective ROTC program students
  • Active duty Military personnel with plans to attend college
  • Honorably Discharged Veterans of the U.S. Military
  • Sons and daughters of Veterans or active duty Military

The J. E. Sirrine Scholarship Program

The J.E. Sirrine Scholarship was established in 1973 and provides scholarship assistance to high school seniors of the 14 Greenville County high schools in Greenville, South Carolina, who have met the academic and financial need criteria as set forth in the Sirrine guidelines.

A high school graduate may also apply for the Sirrine Scholarship up to three years after the date of graduation. The value of the scholarship ranges from $200 to $2,000, depending on the financial need, and may be used for an undergraduate degree program at any accredited four-year college, two-year college, technical or vocational school anywhere in the United States. The scholarships are renewable.

Checks in the amount of the scholarship award are payable directly to the designated college and sent to the financial aid office of that institution. The application and a copy of the Student Aid Report must be postmarked no later than April 15th of each year and sent to:

The Strom Thurmond Foundation Scholarship

Students from South Carolina who have a good academic records and financial need are eligible to apply. New applications must be received by March 1st. Recipients are chosen in July of each year

Summerville Medical Center/ Berlin G. Myers Scholarship

There will be (5) scholarships totaling $5,000 for high school seniors who have permanent residence in the tri-county area. These scholarships will be awarded to students who will be enrolling or who have a declared major in a medical-related profession. Preference will be given to qualified Dorchester County high school seniors.


Sunbelt Rentals Scholarship Program

Sunbelt Rentals in partnership with the Big South Conference established this scholarship for eligible CSU Students and selected non-CSU students attending other accredited Christian Colleges and Universities within the Big South Conference. Two (2) scholarships will be awarded each year at a value of at least $2,000 each. The application, requirements/guidelines for this scholarship opportunity will be available in September.


US Dish Scholarship

$1000 scholarship opportunity. Contest will run twice a year.


Watson-Brown Foundation Scholarship

Students must be from South Carolina or Georgia and demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
