The Career Center is a department within Student Services. Student Services provides professional development resources through The Career Center, APPLE Internships, Multicultural Programs and Civic Engagement. Our resources are designed to deliver intentional educational resources and events to students, alumni, faculty and staff.
Student Services Mission:
- To provide services and resources that empower students to make critical life decisions for future employment.
- To facilitate the process of identifying and connecting God-given passion, skills and abilities to Charleston Southern University majors.
- To enhance classroom learning by partnering with faculty to facilitate career exploration, experiential learning and service learning opportunities, and provide access to employers.
Students may receive career counseling online or in person. In our virtual career center, students may conduct a mock interview, conduct a job search for national and international job opportunities, apply for internships, and post résumés, cover letters, reference pages, and graduate school essays for critique.
Our Career Counselors, Program Coordinators, and Student Employees are dedicated to helping students utilize developmental services. We pledge to provide quality customer service, timely and accurate response, a supportive environment, personalized attention, sensitivity, and an appreciation of individual differences.
