The programs in the Department of Criminal Justice are committed to the highest ethical, intellectual and social values.

Program Goals:


1. Providing a quality education through a comprehensive curriculum in all degree programs. Included in the curriculum is a liberal arts core and criminal justice major requirements that enhance development of oral, written, creative and critical thinking skills and ethical awareness.

2. Promoting cultural diversity through curriculum that reflects global and cultural awareness and an appreciation for human diversity.

3. Encouragement of student participation in local, state, national and international meetings, as well as offering opportunities for field experiences in local and state internships and national and international study courses.

4. Supporting research, scholarship, service and creative work that meets society’s needs, supports academic excellence, develops knowledge and enhances professional and Christian development.
