This patient-information resource has been written and reviewed by physicians and patient education professionals at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), a national medical organization representing family physicians, family practice residents and medical students. Common conditions, treatments and health tips are presented concisely and informatively, and listed alphabetically or cross-searched in STAT!Ref online. Many are also available in Spanish. A mobile app and training tutorials are available from the main STAT!Ref access page.

Alt HealthWatch (EBSCOHost)
Focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. Offers full text articles for more than 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. In addition, there are hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. Features indexing and abstracts as far back as 1984, and full text going back as far as 1990.
Anatomy and Physiology Online (STAT!Ref)
This online resource from primalonlinelearning.com includes 20 modules on topics such as cell biology, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, respiratory system, and more. Each module contains an overview, learning objectives, key concepts and processes, 3D image and interactive models, narrated animations and illustrations, quizzes and reviews, pronunciation guides to key medical terms, clinical case studies for each system, clinical test, and the effects of aging on each system. You may need to allow pop-ups in your web browser to view all the content. A mobile app and training tutorials are available from the main STAT!Ref access page.
A comprehensive source for nursing, biomedicine, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health, and 17 allied health disciplines. Provides indexing for over 5,200 journals with full text for more than 1,350 journals and books/monographs, with some full text coverage dating back to 1937. CINAHL Complete also includes the Pre-CINAHL dataset, which is intended to provide current awareness of new journal articles, providing basic bibliographic information before they are indexed with CINAHL Headings. As Pre-CINAHL journal articles are indexed, the records are replaced with complete CINAHL records.
Consumer Health Complete (EBSCO)
Designed for the everyday consumer of health care information, CHC provides convenient access to easily understandable health and medical information. Consumers can search and browse within medical encyclopedias, popular reference books, and magazine articles.
Provides access to more than 600 subject-specific encyclopedias, biographies, chronologies, dictionaries, and reference titles from over 80 publishers, covering every major subject. Offers over 200,000 images and audio files and nearly 100 videos. Over 10,000 Topic Pages present and organize a variety of information resources on a subject and act as a starting point for research.
A growing collection of over 100,000 electronic books in a wide range of academic subject areas with unlimited, multi-user access. Ebooks may be viewed online in any browser without downloading or installing anything to your computer. If you prefer to read a book offline, you can download up to 10 entire books for 14 days using Adobe Digital Editions (free). Individual chapters can also be downloaded in PDF format. Login to your personal account to take advantage of additional functionalities including setting a default citation format, highlighting and note taking within the text, adding hyperlinks to the text, saving books to a personal bookshelf, downloading content for offline use, and access to iOS and Android mobile apps. Off-campus users are automatically logged in to their personal accounts. On-campus users will be prompted to login when they need to use one of the additional functions or when they click the Sign In link. General Science Full Text (H.W. Wilson on EBSCOHost)
Subject coverage includes astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation, health and medicine, oceanography, physics, zoology and much more. Provides full text from more than 100 periodicals dating as far back as 1995, in addition to indexing and abstracts for nearly 300 periodicals dating back to 1984.
HathiTrust is a growing digital repository of books and journals from a group of large research libraries. It includes both in copyright and public domain materials digitized by Google, the Internet Archive, and Microsoft, as well as through in-house initiatives at HathiTrust partner libraries. The full text of all materials is searchable by everyone, and the full text of materials in the public domain are openly viewable by everyone. To limit your search to the approximately 30% of the HathiTrust collection which is in the public domain, simply check the "Full view only" box on the search screen. Additional options are available for non-partners by creating a Friend Account. Hathi (pronounced hah-tee) is the Hindi word for elephant, an animal highly regarded for its memory, wisdom, and strength.
Health and Wellness Resource Center with Alternative Health Module (Gale Group)
Provides integrated access to medical, statistical, health, and wellness information. It includes the Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, up-to-date reference materials, full-text magazines, journals, and pamphlets from a wide variety of authoritative medical sources, and health and medical videos. Additionally descriptions of and links to several pertinent Web sites, selected for their usefulness and appropriateness are among the resources in Health & Wellness Resource Center. Modules for Health and Wellness Resource Center offer additional specialized information segments. The Alternative Health module looks at health care from a holistic lens. The Disease Profiler module offers an empirical, statistical complement to the disease information in HWRC.

Health Source: Consumer Edition (EBSCOHost)
A collection of consumer health information, providing access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines. This database also includes searchable full text for more than 1,000 health-related pamphlets and more than 130 health reference books, and contains more than 4,500 Clinical Reference Systems reports (in English and Spanish); Lixi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names; and Merriam-Webster's Medical Desk Dictionary.

MedCalc 3000 (STAT!Ref)
This is a collection of over 520 calculators, clinical criteria sets and decision trees for anyone practicing, teaching, or studying evidence-based medicine. This resource is integrated in STAT!Ref and included with every subscription. Every search in STAT!Ref automatically presents links to relevant tools within MedCalc 3000. A mobile app and training tutorials are available from the main STAT!Ref access page.
An authoritative medical information database for medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, etc. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.

New York Times
Selected full text of the New York Times from 1985 to the present is available in several of the library's databases, with complete digital coverage from 2008 to three months ago available in ProQuest Digital Microfilm. In addition, the library keeps the last 8 weeks of the newspaper in paper format, and has 1851 to 2009 on microfilm. To locate the correct resource for the date you need, see this list.
Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOHost)

Points of View Reference Center (EBSCOHost)
Intended for public, academic, and high school libraries, Points of View is designed to assist researchers in understanding the full scope of controversial subjects. High school and undergraduate students can use Points of View as a guide to debate, developing arguments, writing position papers, and for development of critical thinking skills. Each Points of View essay includes a series of questions and additional material to generate further thought. ProQuest Digital Microfilm: New York Times
This resource provides cover-to-cover full image access to the New York Times from 2008 to three months ago for an online experience that resembles paging through the newspaper in print or viewing it on microfilm. Users may crop, zoom, or rotate page images and then print, email, or save in PDF format. In addition, the library provides access to selected full text of the New York Times from 1985 to the present in several other databases, keeps the last 8 weeks of the newspaper in paper format, and has 1851 to 2009 on microfilm.
