Charleston Southern University's Horton School of Music is proud to sponsor Summer Music Camp for students in grades four through 12. Campers may participate in Senior Band, Junior Bands, Senior Chorus, Junior Chorus or Piano Camp during the weeklong session.
The Charleston Southern campus is situated just minutes from historic Charleston, South Carolina. The University is acclaimed annually in national publications as one of the best colleges in the South and is fully experienced in summer camp operations, hosting thousands of campers annually. Leading music educators from the region will join the Horton School of Music Faculty and Summer Music Camp staff to provide both a quality musical experience and fun week for all campers.
From Sunday afternoon registration through the end of camp on Friday, campers will enjoy a nonstop mix of ensemble rehearsals, masterclass and sectional rehearsals, structured and free-time recreation, and evening entertainment and social activities. In addition to ensemble rehearsals, campers will also have the option of receiving a half-hour or hour private lesson if desired.
Friday evening recitals and concerts will conclude the camp, with performances by all campers. The performances are free and open to the public, with family and friends of music campers encouraged to attend. Join us for this exciting week of Summer Music Camp at Charleston Southern University.
