BB&T president Frank Bullard to deliver Commencement
Charleston Southern University’s 2013 commencement ceremony will be Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Jesse Franklin “Frank” Bullard III, coastal regional president for BB&T, will be the guest speaker at the ceremony awarding degrees to 600 undergraduate and graduate students.
Bullard serves on the University’s board of trustees and is also a member of the board of visitors. The father of three says serving as a counselor to young people is one of the most important things a person can do.
Bullard said, “I introduce myself as a product of the successful people I’ve surrounded myself with.” He seeks out high achievers and people with positive attitudes and plans to share his personal experience of those who have mentored him. He also will share examples of how staying true to values has helped him personally and has helped his company.
Bullard compares life to a book. “You remember the favorite parts and characters and reflect on how during challenging times you wanted to turn the page.”
