Zackery to share the gospel at CSU
Curtis Zackery will perform at Charleston Southern University’s Chapel on Wednesday, October 9. The service begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Lightsey Chapel Auditorium.
Zackery, also known as CZ, combines a passion for communication with a desire to see lives changed for Jesus Christ. With his energetic stage presence and charismatic persona, he spreads truth to audiences all across the world. His God-given ability to connect with people of all ages, races and backgrounds sets him apart from the average speaker. CZ is committed to sharing the love of the Bible and hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Evangelism has become a virtual four-letter word in some circles,” he wrote on his web blog. “Sharing one’s faith can be intimidating; and Christians through the ages have disagreed on what evangelism means. But at its most basic level, it’s simply sharing the good news that the Son of God became human and died for the sins of humanity.”
He recently published a bible study titled Converge: Sharing the Gospel, a series of topical Bible studies based on the Common English Bible. Each title in the series consists of four studies on a common topic or theme. Converge can be used by small groups, classes, or individuals. Primary Scripture passages are included for ease of study, as are questions designed to encourage both personal reflection and group conversation.
Zackery graduated from Liberty University and continued his schooling at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA. He has worked as the program director at Kids Across America before taking on a pastoral role at a church in Franklin, TN. Curtis and his wife Monique are currently serving a church plant in Richmond, California.
The purpose of Charleston Southern University's Chapel is to provide the university with a corporate worship experience connecting the campus community with the thoughts and heart of Jesus Christ, creating a generation to live for HIS Name.
