General Dynamics, members of the CSU Board of Visitors, receives award

General DynamicsCharleston Southern University was pleased to nominate General Dynamics - Land Systems Force Protection to the Association of Fundraising Professionals S.C. Lowcountry Chapter’s philanthropy awards.

In celebration of National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, General Dynamics was named Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist. At the awards ceremony, Chris Brown, vice president of General Dynamics said, “Our mission is to save heroes lives. Our vehicles and systems bring our military back safely. To go out and defend freedom, our military should be able to come back to a caring community.”

General Dynamics is a member of the Presidential Council of the Charleston Southern University Board of Visitors Scholarship program and is a major supporter of scholarships for CSU Air Force and Army ROTC students.

General Dynamics sponsors multiple events in support of Joint Base Charleston and works with Cooper River Bridge Run, Lowcountry Food Bank, Charleston RiverDogs and with robotics and STEM initiatives (science, technology, engineering and math) in the local schools.
