The Horton School of Music welcomes Dr. Andy Harnsberger to Charleston Southern University on Wednesday, February 5 for a special Marimba recital. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Lightsey Chapel Auditorium.

Harnsberger’s compositions have been performed at The Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) and around the world, He is a recipient of the ASCAP PLUS award for his contributions to American Concert Music. Harnsberger has also made several guest appearances on National Public Radio, both in interviews, and live performances to bring public awareness to the marimba as a solo instrument.

Harnsberger is an Assistant Professor of Music and Coordinator of Percussion Studies at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. For more information, visitAndyHarnsberger.com.
