Moore leads Values and Ethics talks

Dr. Russell D. MooreDr. Russell D. Moore will be the keynote speaker at Charleston Southern University's 2013 Values and Ethics Series on November 12-13. Moore is the president of the Ethics & Religion Liberty Commission (ERLC).

He has also served as Dean of the School of Theology and Senior Vice President for Academic Administration at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where he was also Professor of Christian Theology and Ethics.

Moore is the author of books such as Adopted for Life and Tempted and Tried. Moore writes frequently at Moore to the Point and hosts The Cross and the Jukebox, a podcast that examines country music from a gospel perspective. Prior to entering the ministry, Moore served former U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor (D-Miss.) in a variety of roles during Taylor’s service in Congress.

November 12

  • 2:00 p.m. | Main Lecture (open to the public)
  • 8:00 p.m. | Solomon’s Porch Q&A with CSU students (co-hosted by Campus Ministries)

November 13

  • 11:00 a.m. | Chapel (open to the public) 1
  • 2:30 p.m. | Invitation only luncheon followed by another lecture that will be open to the public
