Nursing Students Receive Scholarships from Dorchester County Medical Society

Dorchester County Medical Society

The Dorchester County Medical Society has awarded scholarships of $3,000 each to two Charleston Southern University bachelor of science nursing students.

Ashton Marissa Brewer and Ashley E. Valiquette are senior nursing students from Summerville.

More than 90 percent of Charleston Southern’s nursing graduates stay in the Lowcountry. The CSU nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

The Dorchester County Medical Society awards scholarships yearly to local nursing students. Applicants must reside in Dorchester County and exhibit financial need and academic achievement.
