Toader named Interim Dean of College of Nursing

 Charleston Southern University has named Dr. Andreea Toader Interim Dean of the College of Nursing. Toader will assume the position effective June 1.

“The CSU College of Nursing is at an exciting stage of growth, and we continue to evaluate the needs of the medical community as well as the citizens of South Carolina for new methodologies of health care delivery,” said Dr. Jackie Fish, vice president of academic affairs at Charleston Southern. “Dr. Toader has community health experience and has established critical network contacts here in the Lowcountry and across the region. We are extremely pleased she has accepted our offer to assume the role of the Interim Dean of the College of Nursing during this transitional period.”

Toader earned her BSN and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Throughout her professional experience, she has developed a wide repertoire of competencies and creative approaches that have prepared her for this position of leadership. Her doctoral work heavily emphasized the importance of innovation and forward thinking.

She joined Charleston Southern University’s College of Nursing as a faculty member in fall 2013.
