Profile: Amy Collins
Amy Collins is an Instructor of Nursing at the College of Nursing and Allied Health
at Charleston Southern University.
Mrs. Collins received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. She has 20 years of experience in nursing which has included the areas of emergency nursing, cardiac critical care, and family medicine.
Over the years her nursing roles have included unit educator, paramedic student clinical
instructor, clinical preceptor, and nurse practitioner. She is currently teaching
medical-surgical nursing clinical at the undergraduate level as well as working PRN
in emergency nursing.
Mrs. Collins is a nationally Certified Emergency Nurse. She maintains her skills in
ENPC, TNCC, and ACLS. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association.'
