Profile: Janice Walker, MA

 

Janice B. Walker is an assistant professor of psychology in the behavioral sciences department at Charleston Southern University.  She received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology from The University of Akron and her master of arts in counseling and human development from Walsh University.  She is both a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory certification and a national certified counselor.  Her work history includes counseling college students for more than 10 years. Her clinical interests are mostly focused on treatment of depression, anxiety and grief work, and she enjoys career counseling.  For 10 years she has taught a variety of undergraduate psychology courses at CSU including Introduction to Counseling and Introduction to Group Processes.

She would welcome any potential and current students to contact her with questions concerning our psychology major.  She also welcomes students to come share their dream of becoming a psychologist or counselor.
