Residence Hall Move-In Information 

 

This is the BIG day for you to get acclimated to your home away from home!  CSU family members will be available to help you move into your residence hall.  Our residence life staff will help you with all of the paperwork.  Last but not least, area churches, ministries and businesses will welcome you to the community with goodies, free food and information to help you feel right at home.

Move-In Day (new students) 

Friday, August 16 @ 8 a.m.–1 p.m. 

Check-in Locations:  

  • Females residing in Women’s North and Women’s South @ Littlejohn Parlor
  • Females residing in Russell East @ the Russell Horseshoe
  • Males residing in Russell West @ the Russell Horseshoe
  • Males residing in Quads 1, 2 and 3 in front of Quad 2

After you have unloaded your car, please move your car to the back of the parking lot so others can park close to the building while unloading. 

Move-In Day (returning students) 

Sunday, August 18 @ 1-5 p.m. 

  • Upperclass Females @ Littlejohn Parlor
  • Upperclass Males in front of Quad 2

 


 

Move-In Day Events 

Friday, August 16

1:30 p.m. - Parent's Reception @ Christian Leadership Building

Discover all of the resources available for your student from campus department leaders! And enjoy light refreshments.

3 p.m. - Parent's Orientation @ Lightsey Chapel Auditorium

Practical advice will be shared about what you and your student may experience during the first semester of college life.  An informational map about the University will be shared.  

4 p.m. - President's Luau  in the Dining Hall

Students and parents are invited to join us for a festive Luau meal and mingle time in the Dining Hall. 

8 p.m. - Playfair  in the Dining Hall

Playfair is the most popular campus attraction for New Student Orientation Programs across the U.S. Playfair is totally unlike anything you have ever experienced. It's entertainment! It's fun! It's the perfect way to make new campus friendships and participate in team-building activities!

10 p.m. - Hall Meetings  in Residence Halls

Meet your new hall mates, go over essential guidelines for residence life and receive valuable information about orientation.


 

Need to know what to bring?

Essentials: Extra Long twin size sheets and bedspread, Pillow, Towels and washcloths, Toiletries, Broom/dust pan, Trashcan and airtight containers for snacks

Not essential (but nice to have): Bath Mat, Computer, TV and/or stereo, Low amp. microwave, Refrigerator (no larger than 3.5 ft.), Sewing kit, First Aid kit, Surge protector, Fire resistant window curtain and rod

If possible, contact your roommates in advance and share some of the costs!
